The development of a National Database of Sport & Recreation Amenities has been identified as a nationally important initiative, strongly backed by Government and the CCMA.
Local Authorities will be important stakeholders in the project as data providers, but also benefiting from the system's powerful capabilities for improved analysis, planning and strategic business analysis around the provision of recreational facilities.
This briefing will give an overview of the project and allow for discussion around the role of Local Authorities.
Directors of Services, Data/GIS personnel, Sports Officers and other relevant Local Authority staff are welcome to attend.
