About this event

The Health Research Board and the Department of Health will host the 2022 National Drugs Forum in the Gibson Hotel, Dublin on 2 November. The National Drugs Forum is an annual event for stakeholders working in service provision, advocacy, policy and research to learn about new developments in the drugs area and share knowledge about current practice. The title of this year’s forum is Building research capacity: knowledge for a safer future and speakers from several European countries will explore different aspects of research’s potential contribution to drugs policy over the next decade. The forum will be held during Ireland’s presidency of the Council of Europe and to mark this Denis Huber, Executive Secretary of the COE’s cooperation platform dealing with drugs and addictions will give the keynote address. This is the fourth annual forum and it will be opened by Mr Frank Feighan TD, Minister of State with responsibility for Public Health, Well Being and National Drugs Strategy.
