About this event

Our Navigation for Mountain Runners is a female-only course that is run in partnership with Paul Nolan of 1 Step More.

This day-long course will give runners the opportunity to delve into all things mountain navigation. We'll focus on map reading, compass work, pacing, route planning and navigation on the run. WE WILL NOT BE RUNNING ON THE DAY.

Our course will take place on The Brockaghs in Laragh, Co. Wicklow. We keep participant numbers low so that you can get as much from the day as possible. ONLY 6 SPOTS AREAVAILABLE!

What you need:

  • East West Mappings Lugnaquilla-Glendalough or Wicklow West (2021 - 1:25,000)

  • coat, hat, gloves

  • trail runners or hiking boots

  • waterproof trousers

  • extra warm coat

  • dress in layers, no cotton please

* Compasses will be provided for the day. If you're unable to get a map, just let us know as we have extra that you can borrow.
