The Professional Review checks that you have the right knowledge, skills and experience in three areas of competence: occupational, management and commitment to professionalism to become a Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB)..

Applying for the Professional Review
Step 1: Academic requirements
To be eliable to become a Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB) through the Professional Review FASTRACK route you will need to have met the academic requirements before starting your application. You will need to have a Construction Industry Degree recognised by the Chartered Institute of Building. Skills4Stem will require you to submit a current CV to confirm.
Step 2: Membership
You must already be a non-Chartered member of the CIOB. If you aren’t a member yet, you will need to register for an online account and then apply for membership before submitting your Professional Review Application. Start the process here.
Step 3: The Professional Review form
We will provide you with the correct form for your application and guide you through completion. We also will guide you through the application process and let you know what to expect when.
Your application will need to be endorsed by your line manager, a client or a construction professional who knows you well. We can provide further details on this role during the workshop.
Please note: Every candidate will be required to pay £300 for the CIOB Professional Review fees for submitting their application which we pass on to the CIOB. This can be paid for on this page or via invoice once the application is ready for submission. Membership fees are also not included and payable direct to CIOB.
