Event Information
About this event
Needle Felting is a process of transforming wool fibres into 2D pictures and 3D objects using a single notched needle. By repeatedly stabbing the needle into the wool you can create all sorts of pictures and sculptures.
Needle felting as a craft was discovered by David and Eleanor Stanford in the 1980s. The needles were originally designed to be used large scale for industrial machinery as far back as the 1850's to make felt fabrics from wool.
In this 3 week's class, you will learn needle felting from experienced Needle Felt Artist and Tutor Carol Wise and will produce pieces that you can take home with you.
