Network Cork launches Workshop Wednesdays
The month of October is all about learning. Network Cork will hold its regular event on Wednesday the 5th, which will take place in the Maryborough Hotel. Workshop Wednesdays will begin in the Clarion Hotel from the 12th of October. Workshops have been highly subsidised by Network Cork. Full schedule is as folows:
- Wednesday 5 October – Goal Setting with Gerry Duffy (free event for members,€25 for guests, in the Maryborough Hotel, 6–8.30 p.m.)
- Wednesday 12 October – How to get those Sales with Pat Lynch (€25 in the Clarion Hotel, 6–8.30 p.m.)
- Wednesday 19 October – Productivity and Time Management with Barbara Nugent (€25 in the Clarion Hotel, 6–8.30 p.m.)
- Wednesday 26 October - Digital Marketing strategies with Damien Mulley (€25 in the Clarion Hotel, 6–8.30 p.m.)

Wednesday 5 October – Goal Setting with Gerry Duffy (free for members, €25 for guests, Maryborough Hotel, 6–8.30 p.m.)
The first event will take place in the Maryborough Hotel with the world-renowned Gerry Duffy where GOAL SETTING is the main focus. Gerry Duffy is a professional speaker in the areas of Goal-Setting, Personal Development, Motivation and Leadership. Since 2010, he has been hired by over 500 companies and organisations including Facebook, Google, Bank of America, Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Coca Cola. He has a Master’s Degree in Business Practice and has written three books including The Goal Getter – 35 Different Ways to Reach Your Goals (2015). Aside from running his own business since 2003, Gerry’s sporting CV is filled accomplishments such as running 32 marathons in 32 consecutive days as well as completing and winning the inaugural UK DECA Iron Distance Triathlon in 2011 (24 mile swim, 1,160 mile bike, 262 mile run), an event dubbed ‘The toughest 10 Day Endurance Challenge in the World’.
Wednesday 12 October – How to get those Sales with Pat Lynch (€25, Clarion Hotel, 6–8.30 p.m.)
Cork-based entrepreneur Pat Lynch founded award-winning Microtech Cleanroom Services in 1998, which he sold to National Linen in 2001. He previously worked as Finance Director and Controller for the Irish operations of US multinationals Seagate Technology, Western Digital and Summit Technology. He is currently Director of Compliance & Risks, Vearsa, Eviview plus other start-up companies. He is also CEO and Founder of Stock Market Training Ltd. He recently became an author and his first books are Self Make and Sales Make with Business Make to be published later this year. Pat is also on the advisory board of the Ignite Program in UCC. In his spare time, he is a family man, walks his dog around the cliffs in Ardmore and gives talks on entrepreneurship.
Wednesday 19 October – Productivity and Time Management with Barbara Nugent (€25, Clarion Hotel, 6–8.30 p.m.)
Barbara Nugent has an accounting background with 25 years' experience in senior finance management roles. She now mentors and coaches businesses, their leaders and teams to operate more effectively, to perform at their best and to work to their strengths.
Wednesday 26 October – Digital Marketing strategies with Damien Mulley (€25, Clarion Hotel, 6–8.30 p.m.)
Damien Mulley owns Cork-based Mulley Communications and teaches organisations and enterprises how to communicate amongst themselves and with the greater world. He is also the organiser of the Web Awards and Social Media Awards, wrote a technology column for the Sunday Tribune (RIP) from Jan 07 to Jan 08.
Advance booking is required and places subject to availability (first come first served). These workshops are open to non-members also. All workshops are from 6–8.30 p.m.
