About this Event
About the Session:
Our April speaker event takes us through the topic of Imposter Syndrome. We'll explore the notion of Imposter Syndrome holding you back from achieving your true potential. We'll explore some of the following questions and Aoife will take us through techniques to overcome our fears and set us on a path to succeed.
- Are you avoiding putting yourself forward for opportunities?
- Do you compare yourself to others and find yourself falling short?
- Do you doubt your own ability to succeed as an entrepreneur?
- Even when you do win business, do you doubt your ability to deliver?
- Maybe you put your success down to luck?
- Or you’re just going for this "one more qualification" and then you'll be ready to put yourself out there?
- Maybe you know about this imposter syndrome already, but you are worried that you really are an ‘imposter’, and that no one else feels like you do?
Up to 70% of people experience imposter syndrome at some stage in their career. It impacts on both men and women, but we deal with it in very different ways. It can impact on our career progression, how much we earn, whether we remain in an organisation. During this interactive presentation, Aoife will speak about what imposter syndrome is, how it shows up, who gets it, and what steps we can take to manage and overcome it.
