Nollaig na mBan - Camille O' Sullivan & Sharyn Ward - Annesley House
Overview
Nollaig na mBan
Join us upstairs at Annesley House for an intimate gig with Camille O' Sullivan with suport from Sharyn Ward. We are absolutely thrilled that Camille has agreed to play this small intimate venue as part of our 4th Nollaig na mBan festival. This is a community event and tickets are priced accordingly. Our festival is suported by NEIC and Dublin City Council.
Camille O’Sullivan was born in London to a French mother and Irish father and raised in Cork, award-winning singer and actress Camille O’Sullivan is celebrated for her spellbinding interpretations of the music of Nick Cave, Brel, Waits, Bowie, Radiohead and more. Formerly an architect and portrait painter, she has become one of Ireland’s most distinctive performers, known for turning every song into a dramatic, emotional journey.
Internationally acclaimed, Camille has sold out shows at the Sydney Opera House, London’s Royal Festival Hall, and The Roundhouse, and was voted by The Daily Telegraph as giving one of the Top 25 performances ever on Later… with Jools Holland.
A magnetic, chameleon-like storyteller, she moves effortlessly from fierce to fragile, delivering what critics describe as “an intense theatrical experience” and “an emotional rollercoaster.” Camille has received numerous awards including the Herald Angel Award, Irish Tatler Woman of the Year (Music), and a Helpmann Award for Best Performance.

Sharyn Ward is an Irish singer/songwriter, and a very proud Irish Traveller. Her ancient and haunting voice and renditions of traditional Irish songs and her own original music have captivated audiences across the country. In August of 2022, she released her latest single “Feeling Free", following on from her 2020 album, One Starry Night, made up of a selection of folk songs. She continues to perform across Ireland and last year to America, while juggling motherhood and life in the music studio. She is currently working on a new album of original songs with a more indie folk direction, expected by the end of the year, with a single due for the autumn.
