Event description
The tour will explore development of the north side docklands area throughout the Georgian period.

About this Event

Beginning with Marlborough house and Eden Quay and taking in the historical development of the Customs house and its environs the construction of George’s dock and the CHQ building. The often-unnoticed Georgian history of this part of the city will be uncovered during this tour. Included in this tour will be a stop for a specially arranged visit to the archives of the new Central bank building. The archive has a collection of plans and drawings for the Central bank on Dame street and more for Foster place. The visit will include a tour of the Archives with archivist Sinéad McDonnell.

Meeting place for the tour will be circulated closer to the time.
