Join NUI in Merrion Square on European Day of Languages! We are hosting an event to celebrate NUI’s love of language learning. On the day we will hear from NUI language awards alumni who will share stories of their love of languages and how this has shaped their lives. The French and Spanish Ambassadors to Ireland will talk about the importance of language links with NUI universities, and President of Conradh na Gaeilge, Neil Comer will update us on the success of Bliain na Gaeilge 2018. Anne Gallagher, Maynooth University, will share her views on the language learning in Ireland.

This informal event will be followed by an optional tour of the newly-refurbished Goethe Institut nearby at 37 Merrion Square from 5:45-6:30pm. If you would like to book a place on the tour, please do so separately by emailing awards@nui.ie

Bí linn in Ollscoil na hÉireann do Lá Eorpach na dTeangacha! Beimid ag céiliúradh an meas atá ag OÉ ar fhoghlaim teangacha. Cloisfimid ó iarscoláirí duaiseanna OÉ sna teangacha, ó Ambasadóirí na Fraince agus na Spáinne go hÉirinn, ó Uachtarán Chonradh na Gaeilge, Neil Comer agus é ag trácht ar Bhliain na Gaeilge 2018 agus ó Anna Ní Ghallachair, Ollscoil Mhá Nuad. Beidh turas roghnach ina dhiaidh timpeall ar an Goethe Institut ar 37 Cearnóg Mhuirfean a rinneadh athchóiriú air le déanaí. Más spéis leat áit a chur in áirithe ar an turas sin, cuir rphost chuig awards@nui.ie
