Description

UPDATE - 15 OCTOBER

Due to the Hurricane Ophelia weather warning (plus schools being closed and buses being disrupted) we are NOT going ahead with this course on Monday 16th. All attendees have been notified via email.

About the Event

Google Grants are for life AND for Christmas! Make the most of the increased search traffic for donations, Christmas cards and gifts around Christmas, and use your Google Grant to set up highly targeted, free ads that will drive prospective donors and shoppers to your charity’s website.

This session will provide practical guidance on how to set up ads that will drive donations and sales of Christmas products. Featuring expert presentations and group discussions.

You will need to have some familiarity with Google Ads to make the most of this session (but entry level is fine).

This seminar will cover:

  • Setting realistic objectives

  • Creating donation campaigns

  • Creating campaigns that sell Christmas products

  • Landing pages

  • Remarketing

  • How to measure your campaigns

  • Q&A and Discussion

PPC advice is usually very expensive - this is an excellent opportunity to get affordable advice that's specific to charities.

About the Speakers

Alan Roche is the creator of www.ppc4charity.ie. Alan has worked with a variety of organisations to optimise their Adwords accounts, including The Little Museum of Dublin, for which he secured and runs a Google GrantsPro account, St Vincent De Paul, Sensational Kids, Irish Ballooning Championships, and also private sector companies such as Mortar and More.

He is a little obsessed with making sure that marketers use the right tools in the right way. Alan says: "There are many different tools available to the digital marketer. I love using the right tool for the job and PPC is a sales tool. You're only using it right when you're making money with it."

Jean O’Brien is a digital non-profit specialist and founder of Irish Charity Lab. Jean has worked on numerous Irish and international Google Grant accounts and has had one featured as a success story by Google. She’s keen to demystify Google Grants and build charities’ confidence in using this extremely valuable digital tool.

Who Should Come?

  • Progressive charities who have the Google Grant and would like to learn how to optimise it for the Christmas period

  • Progressive charities who are seeing good click-through rates on their ads and would like to learn how to turn them into revenue

FAQs

I’m not with a non-profit, can I attend?

Irish Charity Lab events are primarily for non-profits, but based on demand we are providing a limited number of for-profit tickets available for this course, which are charged at commercial rates. Please book this ticket price if you are with a for-profit business, an agency, or are a consultant / self-employed. Incorrectly booked tickets will be cancelled.

What's the refund policy?

As we are a small non-profit organisation with limited resources, we ask that if you need to cancel your booking, you give us enough time to re-sell your ticket. If you cancel an event up to a week in advance, we will fully refund your ticket. Events that are cancelled with less than seven days notice cannot be refunded; apologies for any inconvenience this causes. You can transfer your ticket to a colleague if you don't qualify for a refund.

If you need to request a refund, you can do so through EventBrite.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No need, your name will be on the door.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes, absolutely - you can change the name on your ticket by following these instructions.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Please fill out the name(s) of the actual attendee(s) rather than the person booking the ticket, if they're not the same. If you need to transfer your ticket to a colleague, that is no problem - you can change the name on your ticket by following these instructions.
