About this event
Fundraising event for Museum of Childhood Ireland
Old Ireland in Colour brings to life the rich history of Ireland and the Irish through the colour restoration of these stunning images of all walks of Irish life throughout the nineteenth and twentieth century. From the chaos of the Civil War to the simple beauty of the islands; from legendary revolutionaries to modest fisherfolk, every image has been exquisitely transformed and every page bursting with life.
The first 20 people to register for the event will be entered into a draw for a signed copy of Old Ireland in Colour and a voucher for dinner for two people in the award winning AA Rosette-Fahrenheit restaurant in Clontarf Castle, Dublin.
Show your support for the Museum of Childhood Ireland by attending this event. We are all looking forward to seeing you there!
The Museum of Childhood Ireland aims to deliver a world-class facility exploring the history, culture and rights of children and childhood on the island of Ireland. Our principal objective is the establishment of a permanent museum which will collect, curate, exhibit, research and explore artefacts / stories relating to children and childhood on the island of Ireland from the earliest times to the present day.
The Museum of Childhood Ireland encourages active child and youth participation, and the fostering of tolerance and acceptance of the diversity of society in modern Ireland. We want to help place the voice of the child where it belongs, from earliest times to the present day, front and centre. We need your help to go from a voluntary, unfunded museum to a professional, accredited museum with a permanent home.
