About this Event
Jesse Smith was born into a musical family, who grew up immersed in the Irish music tradition having spent his childhood surrounded by many of the great Irish American musicians. He moved to Ireland in 1998 and has since toured with the band Danu for three years, recording two CDs with them, and receiving an award from the BBC in 2001. His well-received 2002 solo recording entitled Jigs and Reels appeared in Earle Hitchner’s Top Ten Albums of the Year column in US paper, The Irish Echo. He teaches at many of the Irish music summer schools and is an annual teacher at the Willie Clancy summer school.
Each class will start each day from 11 am to 12.30 pm, with a break in between.

• Not suitable children under 9 years of age
• PDFs and video clips of tunes will be provided by the tutor
• Recording by students during class is prohibited
