One Day Circuit Conference & AGM

We are pleased to confirm that our annual one-day Circuit Court Conference, together with our AGM, will take place in the Mullingar Park Hotel on Monday the 17th of October 2022.

The conference will be chaired by Her Honour Judge Karen Fergus and happily coincides with the completion of the Voice of the Child Project which will be launched by Her Honour Judge Sarah Berkeley who, together with the other members of that project, have completed what we hope will have a pivotal bearing and input on how this important issue is dealt with by our Courts.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with tea, coffee and pastries before the conference opens at 9.30 a.m. There will be a full sit down three course lunch. The event will cost €100 for paid members whilst those who are not paid members can pay a rate of €220 to include the annual membership subscription. Members who are under 5 years qualified can avail of the reduced rate of €50, with non-members who are under 5 years qualified can avail of a rate of €110, which also includes the annual membership subscription. There are 5.5 CPD points available to include 1 point in the area of Practice Management.

Together with Judge Berkeley’s launch of the Voice of the Child Project, the line-up of speakers for the Conference which will focus on children, whose papers will be confirmed, are as follows:

• Nuala Jackson SC and Paul Mc Carthy SC will present opposing sides in debating the weight and merit to be ascribed to the concept of “parental Alienation”

• Dr Sarah Fennell

• Mary Grant, Life Coach

The Association’s AGM will take place in the afternoon from 5pm.
