About this Event
Brian Gallagher was born in Dublin. He is a full-time writer whose plays and short stories have been produced in Ireland, Britain and Canada. He has worked extensively in radio and television, writing many dramas and documentaries.
In recent years he has concentrated on historical fiction for older children/young adults, and his novels Across the Divide, Taking Sides, Secrets and Shadows, Stormclouds and Friend or Foe have been hugely popular, and have featured in multiple One Book, One Community projects in Dublin City, Fingal, Dun Laoghaire, Wexford, Cork, Clare and Galway.
This free event is brought to you by South Dublin Libraries as part of the Between the Red Lines Festival and Ireland Reads, a national day to celebrate reading.
