About this event

Covid-19 has us all using a wide range online tools and platforms, some for the first time in our professional lives. Which ones are we finding most helpful in our work with children and young people? What issues are we facing? What can we learn from each other’s' experiences?

Join us on 12th May, 11am-1pm

This special meeting of the Child and Youth Participation Special Interest Group invites all CRN members to come together to discuss experiences, concerns and best practices in the use of online tools and platforms to access and engage children and young people’s voices across research, policy and practice.

Topics for discussion:

• Available, accessible and appropriate online tools and platforms

• Methods to facilitate online engagement

• Implications of engaging children and young people in ‘home’ contexts

• Access inequalities, including to devices/ broadband

• Reaching children and young people online – challenges, best practice, and ethical and child protection issues
