Professional Musical Theatre Workshop & Q&A, led by Miss Saigon cast members Barnaby Hughes & David Kar-Hing Lee.

Tutor: Barnaby Hughes

Barnaby began his professional training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York before completing a three-year degree course at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. He currently appears in Miss Saigon as a member of the ensemble and understudy John.

Theatre includes: Mitch in Yank! (Hope Mill Theatre); Warner in Legally Blonde (Aberystwyth Arts Centre); Buck in Cougar - the Musical (Belgrade Theatre); Gus in Grand Central (Charing Cross Theatre); Gaston in Beauty and the Beast (Cork Opera House); Vernon in Damn Yankees (Landor Theatre); Prince Charming in Cinderella (Cork Opera House) and Tommy in Dick Whittington (Wyvern Theatre).

Film includes: A Lifeless Life (Chocolate Films) and Tristan in the Cowshed (Electric Shorts).

Television includes: Luther (BBC) and Miliband of Brothers (Channel 4).

Tutor: David Kar-Hing Lee

David trained on a scholarship at Bush Davies and the Central School of Ballet. His eclectic career started as a West End performer, going on to work as an actor in theatre, radio, television and film, and later as an artistic producer, adjudicator of dance and choreographer.

Theatre includes: in the West End: Goodman King in the original London production of Fame - the Musical(Cambridge Theatre); Thuy in Nicholas Hytner’s production of Miss Saigon (Theatre Royal Drury Lane); original cast of Beauty and the Beast (Dominion Theatre); Simon Legree/Phra Alack in The King and I(London Palladium); The Lion King (Lyceum Theatre); original cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (London Palladium); Club Owner in the revival of Miss Saigon(Prince Edward Theatre) and Dirk in Oh! What a Night(Manchester Opera House and Hammersmith Apollo). David also features on several original cast albums.

Film, television and radio includes: for BBC Radio: lead roles of Kai Liang in Avenues of Eternal Peace, Li Xin in Beijing’s Slowest Elevator and Wang in The Interpreter; also the radio comedy Wild Things(episodes two and four) and several roles in Saigon: Year of the Cat. On BBC TV, he played secret agent Huang Fu Xing in Spooks (series nine). He has also filmed leading roles in a series of six short feature films, including Tai Ji Do, exhibited at the Hong Kong Film Festival.

Choreography includes: projects for Kuala Lumpur Dance Theatre, Harrogate Theatre, Qdos Entertainment, First Family Entertainment, DAMA Productions and numerous others. Collaborating with the late Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney on one of his last projects is a career highlight.
