Over 55's Small Group Cycles

National Bike Week is a celebration and promotion of the benefits of cycling. This year, Bike Week will kick off on Sunday September 12th and end on Saturday September 18th.

A variety of events both on the ground and online will be held throughout Ireland.

As part of Bike Week 2021, Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership and Kerry County Council, in conjunction with LiKe Bikes are hosting 'Over 55's Small Group Cycles' in Listowel Town Park on Wednesday 15th of September. The central aim of the event is to create awareness of the benefits of cycling and give older cyclists the confidence to get back on a bike again and the opportunity to meet new people and exercise in a fun and social way.

Information:

• This event takes place on Wednesday 15th September.
• The meeting point will be the Listowel Community Centre.
• LiKe Bikes will be delivering these small group cycles and will be there on-site to offer support and guidance around getting started on the bikes.
• There will be 4 group cycle sessions available to book in advance.
• Step-Through Bikes & Electronic Bikes with Helmets will be available to experience and try on the day.
• Each group will consist of 5 participants.

Participants get to start off slowly by doing short cycles supported by LiKe Bikes Staff and if feeling comfortable and up for it, can take the bike around the beautiful Listowel Town Park.

What to Bring:

• Appropriate clothing for cycling
• Rain gear, just in case!
