Paint an Interior Scene in Watercolour
Overview
In this workshop we will be learning how to tackle an interior scene in watercolour. Kasper will show how to effectively paint the incoming glow of light from the window and with splatter technique creating various light effects.
The workshop will be based on a three-part demonstration where Kasper will show his technique, and after each part, he will assist the students along the way.
We will start the day with a value study exercise of the chosen image, and explanations will be given on how this can be used as a roadmap for a successful painting.
The following will be covered.
• Working with wet-into-wet and dry brush techniques to achieve different effects.
• The value of connecting shapes in the painting.
• How to paint in a loose style while retaining acuracy
• Techniques to adjusting the final painting by lifting paint in certain areas
All of this and more will be delivered through demonstrations and personalised attention.
Art materials will be provided; however, students are also welcome to bring along their own if they wish
This workshop is not suited for absolute beginners.
