Description

Patrons, Benefactors & Friends Outing - Friday 28 June 2019

Trip to Dublin, Joe Hanly’s Studio, The Birth of Modernism at Dublin Castle, & to the Chester Beatty Library (China & Japan)

Temple Bar Studio & Dublin Castle & the Chester Beatty Library

We are delighted to announce a special tour by the curator of The Birth of Modernism, retired dealer, David Britton later this month, at the special exhibition at Dublin Castle State Apartments.

This will be followed by a tour of the China and Japan Collections at the Chester Beatty library closeby and where we can have lunch and weather permitting enjoy some time on their roof terrace.

The Dublin visit will begin with a short visit (with tea, coffee & croissants) at Joe Hanly’s studio in Temple Bar Gallery & Studios.

Joe has curated Highlanes Gallery's current exhibition, Disruptors, and is responsible for the stunning artwork, Tree, which is suspended upside down and moving in the gallery.

Places are limited, and should be booked early on Eventbrite.ie and include bus to and from Dublin, departing Highlanes Gallery at 10am sharp, and departing the Chester Beatty Library at 3.15pm on the day.

Tea, Coffee and croissants are included in the price which is €15 for Friends and €20 for Friends of Friends!

Please contact the main reception on T 041-9803311 with any enquiries or email aruane@highlanes.ie or to sign up to become a Patron, Benefactor or Friend.
