Event description
Visit Phoenix Cricket Club and hear the history of Ireland's oldest sports club and the stories of the great characters who played here.

About this event

As part of Heritage Week on Friday 20th August Phoenix Cricket Club are hosting an afternoon of stories , charting our heritage and history from our founding in 1830 by Charles Stewart Parnell's father, through the bombing by the Nazis, the first female president in the Park (before Mary Robinson), our brilliant cricketers, and great triumphs, to our present culturally diverse club .

We will host four 20 minute story slots (14.30, 15.00, 15.30, 16.00) with the inimitable John Mullins (half a century and not out).

This will be Covid compliant, so numbers are limited. We will also have an online version, if you're not lucky enough to secure a ticket.
