Description
The Piano Duet Matinée course aims at music teachers or advanced pianists who want to continue or revisit their previous experience of piano duet playing. The course will be available on Wednesday mornings.
The course will comprise of a group of 10 pianists. Repertoire will cover previously studied works, new piano repertoire and discussions on repertoire suitable for teaching.
Participants will give a short concert at the end of the course.

Course Director: Professor Colma Brioscú
Colma Brioscú graduated from UCD with a BA Degree in Music and Irish. She also holds a Masters Degree in Humanities (Music) from St Patrick’s College, Drumcondra, validated by DCU. Colma is teaching piano solo and duets since 1976. She has taught every level, from beginners to third-level students. Many of her students have won prizes in festivals all over the country, in particular Piano Duets. Colma Brioscú studied in the Royal Irish Academy of Music and at the École Normale de Musique de Paris. In 1983, Colma came second in Concours Internationale des Femmes Artistes Musiciennes. She holds a Fellowship Performance Diploma FTCL from Trinity College, London. Colma is Head of the Keyboard Faculty at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
