Plant Pigments & Paper: A Botanical Workshop With Kathryn Davey (December)

By Form & Fable

Overview

Join natural dyer and designer Kathryn Davey for a seasonal workshop exploring the art of botanical inks and handcrafted cards.

Working with colour extracted from plants such as hawthorn, alder, and spruce cones, participants will learn to create their own natural inks. Under Kathryn’s guidance, you’ll explore the alchemy of colour, experimenting with saturation, texture, and the expressive qualities of natural inks, then use your creations to craft a set of festive cards on handmade paper, each one unique, tactile, and imbued with the subtle beauty of the natural world.

This workshop celebrates the slower pace of handmade craft, from the transformation of plant pigments to the thoughtful gesture of a handwritten note.

Perfect for those seeking a creative afternoon in good company or wishing to make meaningful gifts for the season. All materials are provided.

Open to all, no experience necessary.
