Event description

Description

Because so many of you were disappointed..... we are holding this lecture again. The lecture is FREE but you must REGISTER to guarantee your place.

Mary Montaut loves bees.. and other pollinators too in her garden. In this lecture Mary will share her knowledge of the plants in her Wicklow garden which attract bees ... and other pollinators. She is keen to stress that bees need plants all year round and Mary hopes that her lecture will make you think when choosing plants to help these valuable creatures thrive in our environment. Mary is editor of An Beachaire, the Newsletter for the Federation of Irish Beekeepers Associations and is a member of the Leinster Committee of the Irish Garden Plant Society.

This lecture will be for all of us who are baffled by the array of plants in our garden centres and nurseries. There will be time at the end of the lecture to answer your questions regarding plant choice, care and position. Mary's lecture will be a great introduction to the many great plants we can use in our gardens to attract lots of pollinators..

Entrance is open to all, members and non-members of The Irish Garden Plant Society. Our website gives more information on how to join and forthcoming garden visits.
