Portuguese Film Cycle 2023

The Embassy of Portugal in Ireland, in partnership with University College Cork, has the honour to announce the Portuguese Film Cycle 2023.

Three films will be screened in Portuguese with English subtitles and entry is free (no ticket required). Kindly note that admission will be granted on a first come first seated basis and that the screenings are aimed at an adult audience.

On Tuesday the 21st March at 6 pm the film “Al Berto” by Vicente Alves will be shown in room Hub 1.72 Shtepps of University College Cork.

Synopsis: “It's the summer of '75 in Sines, Portugal. Al Berto, the writer, embodies an entire moving generation. He and his friends exude youth, eccentricity and hope for the future - but right after the fall of Portugal's dictatorship system, the country is not yet ready for his love story”.
