Bray Emmets GAA Club presents Dr. Niall Muldoon (Ombudsman for Children) and Dr. Yvonne Quinn (Snr Clinical Psychologist, HSE) who will speak on Thursday, March 1st at 8pm on ‘Positive Mental Health and Resilience in Teenagers’. The evening is intended to assist parents, coaches and members of the local community in promoting the holistic development of our young people.

Doors open at 7.30 and close 8pm.

Our highly-qualified speakers are coming to Bray to share their experience, insights and advice.

Dr. Niall Muldoon is Ireland’s Ombudsman for Children having been appointed by President Michael D. Higgins in February 2015. He is a Psychologist with more than 20 years experience in the area of child protection, and he has worked therapeutically with children, adults and families affected by sexual abuse. A life-long member of the GAA, he has been instrumental in developing Counselling services for inter-county players and he was instrumental in establishing the nationally-recognised ‘Crokes Talks Health and Well-Being programme’ for Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club.

Dr. Yvonne Quinn is a Senior Clinical Psychologist who has worked for over 10 years in a range of HSE psychology services – with adults, children and families. She has a keen interest in supporting wellbeing across the life span, with interest in early child development and perinatal health. She has completed additional training in areas including autism and developmental assessments and psychotherapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Analytic Therapy.
