Event description

Description

If you're feeling a sense of deja vu, then don't worry, we're sticking to the same agenda and all details remain the same as the last time.

If you are seeing this for the first time, we had a missed event in May, and this is the re-scheduled session. You won't have missed anything, so book now!

Summary

Power BI is fun and easy to get started with. That also explains how most Power BI deployments start out and why people call up consultancy firms to help out with their Power BI lifecycle management.

As long as you only have a handful of reports, you might be fine. But when you start to have more data, more users, you typically also get more reports and workspaces to manage. And that's when things tend to get more difficult and sometimes even messy. But why wait until the bomb explodes?

In this workshop you'll learn to address these problems through good practices and automation.

In this full day workshop, we’ll look at the most important tasks to maintain Power BI in your organization and we’ll follow up with how to automate those tasks so you don’t lose your head!

From source control to deploying reports to managing workspaces and licenses. You’ll learn the possibilities to make your job less of a burden by managing your environment in an automated way.

As a bonus, the quality of your delivered services will increase due an increase in delivery speed while being less error prone.

Speaker

Jan Mulkens Bio

Jan Mulkens is a Microsoft BI Consultant and the Competence Center Lead for Microsoft Advanced Analytics at Ordina Belgium. In his spare time, he is a speaker at conferences and user groups in europe and he organizes 2 user groups and a conference in Belgium. Power BI Days conference (www.powerbidays.com), Belgium Microsoft Advanced Analytics User Group (bit.ly/msaaug), Flemish Power BI User Group (bit.ly/FlemishPowerBI).

Target Audience

This workshop is useful for anyone from admins, to power users and consultants.

So whether you’re a Power BI beginner or expert, this workshop will give you the insights and tools you need to start automating the most common Power BI management tasks.

The topics in this workshop build on top of each other to emulate the process people generally go through to learn this in the real world.

That way you’ll not only learn in a natural way, but you should also be able to easily take any of the learned topics and apply them in your own environment at your own discretion.
