About this event

Would you like to be able to present yourself and communicate your work with more confidence and clarity?

Whether delivering a workshop, presenting your work to your peers or performing in front of a live audience, clarity and control over material, train of thought and the ability to guide an audience is fundamentally important. On both live and on digital platforms, artists can feel overwhelmed and challenged when they come face to face with an audience and focus can slip away as soon as one becomes self- conscious.

In this 90 minute online workshop theatre practitioner Declan Drohan will offer an introduction to some of the dynamic principles of the Michael Chekhov Technique, and will provide you with useful tools to offset any stumbling blocks you may encounter when face to face with a live audience or group. The workshop will be practical, clear and task based and suitable for artists in every artform, from writers or musicians who perform for audiences to visual artists or anyone who has to present their work and their practice in front of an audience or peers. Be prepared to to share short autobiographical intro and or/ description of your practice (less than 1 minute)
