Presidential Moments: Reflections U.S. Presidents & presidential elections
Calling all history and politics enthusiasts!
In the light of the upcoming U.S. presidential election, the Department of History, Trinity College Dublin is organising a forum to offer a historical perspective on the history of election to the Oval Office. A panel of speakers specialising in American History, including Prof. Ciaran Brady, Prof. Patrick Geoghegan, Dr Gráinne McEvoy (IRC Postdoctoral Fellow) and Dr Daniel Geary, will discuss topics such as the evolution of the presidential office, turning points in presidential elections, the Irish factor in presidential politics and the presidential elections of the 1960s.
The talks will be followed by a Q&A forum moderated by Vice-Provost and Chief Academic Officer, Prof. Chris Morash.
