Preventing Exclusion from Services in Older Age: New Evidence from Research, Policy and Practice

4th ROSEnet European Policy Seminar

Friday 14th September 2018

9:00 – 15:45

Loggia dei Mercanti, Via della Loggia, Ancona, Italy

Hosted by the Reducing Old-Age Social Exclusion in Europe (ROSEnet – www.rosenetcost.com) COST Action (CA 15122), in cooperation with INRCA (Italy’s National Institute of Health and Science on Ageing), Centre for Socio-Economic Research on Ageing, Ancona, Italy.

This Seminar will examine how older people can experience exclusion from services, and the implications of this exclusion for health, well-being and participation outcomes.

Exploring state-of-the-art research and policy developments, the seminar will draw together researchers, policy stakeholders and members of civil society to unpack patterns of inequities in access and provision across health and social care, transportation and mobility, and information and communication technologies.

The Seminar will also explore individual level and structural risk factors for service exclusion, focusing specifically on the lived experiences of different groups of the older population, and the influence of intersectional disadvantage in shaping these experiences.
