FraudSMART, the fraud awareness initiative launched by the Banking & Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI) is hosting an in-depth briefing on common financial frauds for small businesses and security measures to protect SMEs from the threat.
The event is hosted in partnership with the Small Firms Association (SFA) on Wednesday, March 29th from 12:15pm - 2.30pm at BPFI Offices, Floor 3, One Molesworth Street, Dublin 2, where a light lunch will be provided on arrival from 12:15pm - 1:00pm.
Discussions will include;
- fraud prevention measures specifically for SMEs;
- types of fraud that SMEs must be especially wary of;
- behaviours of employees in the Working From Home environment that leave SMEs particularly vulnerable to fraud.

Launched in October 2017, the campaign aims to raise consumer and business awareness of the latest financial fraud activity and trends and provide simple and impartial advice on how best they can protect themselves and their resources.
