We know how important global and societal issues are to our students. At Tangent, Trinity’s Ideas Workspace, we are committed to empowering Trinity students to make a real impact on society and the world. This year, for the first time, we are running the Provost’s Innovation Challenge @ Tangent, a social innovation programme that provides supports, creative outlets, mentorship, and the chance to have a real impact on a global problem.

This year, the Challenge chosen by the College community is Homelessness.

Take part in our hackathon and win €10,000!

Friday 22 March: 5.30pm Kick-off of the Challenge, team building, and scoping the problem with Focus Ireland; Dublin Simon Community; Depaul; Dublin Region Homeless Executive (DCC); Giveback.ie; Secret Street Tours; & O’Cualann Housing.

Saturday 23 March: 10.30am - 4pm Solving the problem - working on creative solutions in groups and forming teams; coaches from organisations like Social Innovation Fund; Startup Boost; Talent Garden; and more.

Sunday 24 March: 10am - 2pm Working on your idea and communicating your idea;

2pm - 4pm Judging for the Provost's Innovation Challenge after which the winning team(s) will be given €10k as well as the opportunity to work on their idea over the summer as part of LaunchBox, Tangent's Student Accelerator. Judges will be from Tangent, Trinity’s Ideas Workspace, O’Cualann, Social Innovation Fund & Focus Ireland.
