Following on from its recent highly successful Public Lecture Series, the Carmichael Centre is delighted to announce its forthcoming series. These lectures will take place in Carmichael House (7.00pm-9.00pm) and will be on the theme ‘Reimagining Irish Civic Society’.
We have an exciting line-up of excellent speakers in what promises to be an engaging and thought provoking series. The lectures are FREE for the public to attend and light refreshments will be served. Each lecture is limited to 50 attendees and early booking is seriously advised!
Shaykh Dr. Umar Al-Qadri is the Ameer/ Head-Imam of Al-Mustafa Islamic Educational & Cultural Centre Ireland.
The Shaykh was born in a scholarly family. His father is famous scholar Shaykh Mehr Ali Qadri. Shaykh Umar Al-Qadri was brought up in the Netherlands where finished his secondary school. He then travelled to Pakistan for traditional Islamic education along with Secular education. He completed his Masters (Shahadah Al-Alamiyyah) in Islamic Sciences from Jamia Islamia Minhaj-ul-Quran.
The Shaykh is a gifted and prolific speaker and his lectures are shown globally from many Global satellite channels including ARY QTV. Shaykh Umar Al-Qadri also lectures regularly in various Irish mosques, muslim community centres, colleges and universities including the Irish School of Ecumenics about Islam and contemporary issues. The Shaykh is fluent in English, Dutch, Urdu and Arabic.
Shaykh Al-Qadri is the Founding Chair of Irish Muslim Peace & Integration Council www.impic.ie , an NGO promoting Peace and Integration in Ireland.
The Shaykh is also the Founding Member of Irish Council of Imams.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Street parking is available around the Carmichael Centre, however we ask attendees to use public transport where possible.

Should you not be able to attend on the evening please feel free to pass your ticket/registration onto someone else.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, that will not be necessary.
