Join us as Rachel Joyce, in conversation with Martina Devlin, discusses the importance of setting to a story. How important is this sense of place to the writer and how do they weave it into their storytelling? Does the place where writers write have an important influence on their creativity and ability to keep writing?
Rachel Joyce is the author of Sunday Times bestsellers ‘The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry’, ‘Perfect’, ‘The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy’, ‘The Music Shop’ and a collection of short stories’, ‘A Snow Garden & Other Stories’. Rachel has also written over twenty original afternoon plays and adaptations of the classics for BBC Radio 4. She moved to writing after a career as an actor, performing leading roles for the RSC and the National Theatre.
