Event description

Description

Today, all of our behavior in the face of a very real crisis - the climate, the political landscape, the regular outbreak of population-threatening diseases - is reactionary. To re-integrate the human race back into our natural ecosystem, we must rewire our brains.

Re-Wire to Re-Wild is about looking at a preventative approach to our disconnection with the planet and how we are destroying the future of humanity. Take a moment to remember your surroundings and what it means to be a human.

The content of this event will remain mysterious until your arrival on Lambay, but dress yourself for some outdoor exploration, and bring your thinking caps as you will be invited to get productive and proactive with three very special guest speakers from the pertinent realms of medicine, charity and ethnobotany. Delicious food and live music will also feature on the billet.

We are proud to be partnering with Raglan Capital on this event, a wonderful local Dublin company who are passionate about making Business more Beautiful. Members of the Raglan team will be joining us on the day and helping to shape the programme.

Join us on Lambay Island to discuss why the need to re-wire our thinking is so important if we are to act before it is too late. Guest contributors:

Monica Wilde - ethnobotanist, research herbalist, forager and cook / co-owner of Napiers the Herbalist (est. 1860)

Peter O’Gorman - leading consultant in haematology, director of pathology, director of Next Generation Sequencing Lab at the Mater Hospital (Dublin) and leading member of The Medici Global.

Lesley Malpas - founder and director of Operation Future Hope, conservationist, ecologist and wildlife photographer

Cathal Friel - managing director and founder of Raglan Capital, our 2020 Dublin Chambers partner
