Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership in conjunction with the Irish Orienteering Association are organising a one-day Ready to Go-Teacher Training course on Tuesday 15th of February 2022.

‘Ready to Go Orienteering’ is an Irish Orienteering Association initiative, aimed at introducing and promoting the sport of orienteering in schools. This four hour training course is designed to equip teachers with the knowledge, confidence and resources to successfully implement the programme in your school. After this training day your school will be Ready to Go Orienteering! Your school will be provided with a resource folder.

Information and dates:

• This course is on Tuesday 15th of February 2022
• It starts at 9:30 am until 1:30 pm
• It will take place in Tralee Town Park (meeting point is where the Parkrun starts from which is the entrance closest to the Ashe Memorial Hall)

What to bring:

• Comfortable warm clothes (this is a fully outdoors training course)
• Water
• Bring your own tea/coffee and snack

Cost: €50 for 2 teachers in the same school or €40 for 1 teacher

Participants should be mindful of COVID-19 restrictions and adhere to all public health guidelines.
