RÉALTA: Celebrate Science Gallery Dublin's 10th Birthday

Join Science Gallery at Trinity College Dubin at the college's historic Front Square to celebrate our 10th birthday with RÉALTA, a performances exploring the stars by Aoife von Linden Tol.

The college will be illuminated in a whole new way as artist Aoife van Linden Tol sets off three distinct explosions to celebrate the Dublin Science Gallery’s ten-year anniversary. Performers will dance and play with fire, setting off a chain reaction of pyrotechnic events. The site-specific explosive art installations are inspired by science and nature as well as the unique features of the square and surrounding buildings.

These stunning series of fleeting yet powerful works inspired by the phenomena of the stars poetically reflect the Science Gallery Dublin’s programming, which aims to ignite curiousity and discovery, explore the unknown, provoke difficult questions and involve the public in the joy and debate around art, science, technology and human progress.
