Red-billed Chough Community Outreach Workshop
Event Information
About this event
By conducting a ‘chough survey’ with attendees, Knowledge Gatherer Fiach Byrne will give tips on identifying choughs in the field – by sight and by sound. He will also speak about the habitats where choughs are most often found in Iveragh.
This workshop is being run to equip attendees with all of the information they need to conduct ‘chough surveys’ in their own local area. These surveys will be used to inform a report on Iveragh’s choughs, which will provide a strong base of knowledge on the peninsula’s chough population.
As we will be outdoors and intend on walking up to 4km, please bring appropriate winter clothing, wet gear, and footwear. If attendees own a pair of binoculars, we encourage you to bring them along to get the most out of the workshop.
