Discover more about Ireland's capital by exploring its past on this 2.5 hour tour of the city. Join me, Alan Swaine, as we visit Dublin's Viking and medieval city from Dublin Castle to Christchurch Cathedral. Explore some of the city's stranger stories from the stolen heart of our patron saint to Dublin's curious millennium in 1988.

Moving north of the city we will cross the Ha' Penny Bridge and learn about some of Dublin's famous street characters like Bang Bang and The Man on The Bridge; before moving into the 19th and 20th centuries to learn about Ireland's Revolutionary past.

This tour will finish with the history of the Easter Rising at the General Post Office and a move towards the modern city we love today.
