Relief Printing

This course introduces the principles of relief printing – one of the oldest means of visually expressing ideas and information, and an eminently affordable, accessible, flexible medium that accommodates great experimentation. Participants learn how to set up their work spaces, the basics of the medium, and how to handle printing equipment and tools. They prepare and transfer blocks and imagery, print by hand and by press, and discern among paper types. They also learn how to achieve painterly and abstract marks in relief prints. Participants finish the course having produced a series of prints.

Cork Printmakers reserves the right to cancel any course with insufficient enrolment, and when this occurs any and all prepaid fees will be refunded. Cork Printmakers does not refund fees paid by participants who subsequently cancel their place in a course.
