Front Line Defenders, together with the Abortion Rights Campaign and Amnesty Ireland, is honoured to host Regina Fonseca, sexual and reproductive rights defender from Honduras, and Anna Cosgrave, founder of the REPEAL project and assistant to Senator Lynn Ruane, in conversation with Ellen Coyne, a journalist with the Ireland edition of Sunday Times, at 6:30 on 27 April at Filmbase, Temple Bar.

Ireland and Honduras are home to two of the most restrictive anti-choice regimes in the world. Both have legal frameworks which equate a woman’s right to life with that of the unborn. Regina and Anna will share strategies for changing this framework, and discuss the risks that doing this work entails, risks which can be life-threatening in the Honduran context. The discussion will be moderated by Ellen Coyne, whose investigative journalism recently uncovered two rogue crisis pregnancy clinics in Dublin.

Regina will also speak at events in Cork, Belfast, Limerick and Galway.
