Restorative Film Series - New Corporation
Event Information
About this event
These monthly film screenings and discussion circles are all about connecting ideas from nature, ecology, education and other areas and seeing how they interconnect in our lives. To deepen learning we do this as a group of individuals who come together on the night and share our own unique perspectives in a safe, facilitated environment. To this end, each screening is limited to 20 places.
The New Corporation: The Unfortunately Necessary Sequel is a 2020 Canadian documentary film, directed by Joel Bakan and Jennifer Abbott. A sequel to the influential 2003 film The Corporation, the film profiles new developments in the political and social power of corporations since the release of the original.
Afterwards then join in a facilitated talking circle with Judith Lardner and Joe Power (restorative practitioners) and explore how this story of the rise and influence of corporations can educate us and influence our restorative thinking.
