Restorative Practices Facilitation Skills, April 2020 (3 days)
Date and time
Location
Áras Chrónáin Irish Cultural Centre io
Watery Lane Orchard Lane Dublin 22 IrelandDescription
This training builds on the Getting Started with RP course. It aims to further embed the learning about Restorative Practices and explains what restorative circles, meetings and conferences are, what they can be used for and how they are facilitated.
People doing this training learn how to facilitate:
-
Restorative Circles – which can be used to build good relationships in groups or to solve problems in groups
-
Restorative Meetings – which are used to resolve conflict in groups;
-
Restorative Conferences – which are used to address serious wrongdoing. RP Conferences work on the basis that the wrongdoer takes responsibility for their actions and the people harmed by the wrongdoing are supported to overcome and move on from that harm.
Restorative Practices is a collaborative and proactive values based way of being that aims to build community and manage conflict by modelling positive behaviour.
This workshop is for you if you have completed the 2 session Getting Started with Restorative practice course.
Training takes place from 9:00am until 4:00pm (with registration/refreshments from 9:00am; lunch is also provided) on the following dates:
Monday 27th April
Tuesday 28th April
Wednesday 29th April
Attendance to all three days is essential.
