THEME

People are fed by a food industry which pays no attention to health and are treated by a health industry that pays no attention to food. There is an urgent need for a joined up food policy for social justice, better health, greener cities.

The Summer School will ask how we can develop a healthy, sustainable and resilient food system that seeks changes to the current food system by improving equitable access to quality food, creating a fairer, healthier and sustainable food system, and reducing the environmental footprint of food.

OUR SPEAKERS INCLUDE

Colin Sage Senior Lecturer in UCC and Chair of the Cork Food Policy Council;
Cristina Grasseni Professor of Anthropology, University of Leiden, The Netherlands;
Oliver Moore Journalist, Food Writer, Lecturer and Social Activist;

Regina Sexton Food Historian, Food Writer, Broadcaster and Cook.

As always at our events, an important part will be the Q&A sessions
which will allow full participation by those attending.
