Returning to Ritual

Winter can be the season which many find difficult with its colder and darker days but it is also one of the seasons with the most potent gifts and medicine within its cold embrace.

Returning to ritual is one of the beautiful ways in which we can access the medicine that winter brings and which can help us to flow more harmoniusly through this season.

On Saturday December 10th, we will gather together to enter into ritual. First with the ancient and now modern tradition of sauna through a beautiful & nourishing sauna experience provided by Shirley of Bosca Beatha along with immersing ourselves into the cold embrace of the flowing rivers of Glenmalure valley.

After this, we will go to the yurt where we will flow through a winter themed yin yoga practice to earth into our bodies and bones, helping us to flow deeper into this season. Accompanied by beautifully soothing music played by Ross Maguire, helping land us deeper into the practice. Throughout I (Jen) will be sharing some herbal medicine from the land which will again help us land deeper into the medicine of Winter. Finishing with a short sharing circle before making our way home.

Logistics:

Location: Bosca Beatha, Glenlamure Valley, County Wicklow (in the field opposite the Glenmalure Lodge)

Parking: You can park in the car park infront of the Glenmalure Lodge but make sure to enter the field from the road access side by following the road around to the left once you walk out of the car park.

Time: 2pm-4pm (Please arrive by 1.45pm at the latest as we will set up in the yurt before the sauna so that we can go straight into it after the sauna)

What to bring: Swimsuit, towel, flask or bottle to fill up with water provided by Shirley, yoga mat, blankets, warm clothes, wellies or waterprrof shoes incase the field is wet, a spoon or small glass to receive your herbal medicine from, a mug for herbal tea.

Due to the capacity of the sauna and yurt we are limited to 10 spaces.

There are no refunds available for this event due to the small capacity but if you wish to pass on your place to another if you cannot make it then this is fine.
