About this event
We are very much looking forward to returning to our much-missed, in-person RHA Friends exhibition tours in the gallery. Beginning with a wine reception in the foyer this RHA Friends tour will last approximately 1 hour.
“A Growing Enquiry – Art and Agriculture, reconciling values” puts together seven artists who explore in a witty and skilful way the reconciliation of their art practice and the ways of the art world and their appreciation of their farming/rural backgrounds (in two cases artists who also actually farm).
Food production, the paraphernalia of farming and art and issues of food security are all touched upon. The fact that all of these artists are women adds another dimension to this intriguing topic. Exhibiting artists: Orla Barry, Laura Fitzgerald, Jane Locke, Maria McKinney, Miriam O’Connor, Anna Rackard, Katie Watchorn.
Curated by RHA Director Patrick T Murphy.
