RHA Presents
Hennessy Lost Friday

*New act announced for Hennessy Lost Friday*

Fehdah has been confirmed to perform at Hennessy Lost Friday.

Fehdah is the Afrofuturism musical project of Emma Garnett. Largely influenced by the Wassoulou music of West Africa and Neo – Soul of North America, Emma’s polyphonically driven music bring a soupy mix of rhythm and harmony from two sides of the globe. The RHA are delighted to welcome her to the line up for Hennessy Lost Friday on 2nd March.

Following on from 2017’s phenomenal success, the RHA’s Hennessy Lost Friday returns for its first installment of 2018 with a whole new line-up of colour, creativity and cocktails. Set in the stunning surrounds of the RHA Gallery the night will showcase a mix of Ireland’s most cutting edge and dynamic musicians, DJs, and creatives along-side a world-class exhibitions programme including exhibitions of Grayson Perry, Helena Gorey, and Alex Pentek.

Thanks to the Beast from the East, Bantum will no longer be performing at HLF, but we are very excited to announce that CLU will be joining our fantastic line-up on the night! Inspired by 1980’s science fiction films, contemporary dance and 8 bit computer soundtracks a la Donkey Kong… CLU formed in 2011 as a way to play music and showcase artwork simultaneously in venues and galleries across the city.

Also announced for the night, Fehdah, is the Afrofuturism musical project of Emma Garnett. Largely influenced by the Wassoulou music of West Africa and Neo - Soul of North America, Emma's polyphonically driven music brings a soupy mix of rhythm and harmony from two sides of the globe.

Throughout the night Dip co-founder and resident DJ, Cáit will be mixing tracks between bands and ending the night with a big party vibe.

Arrive in the early part of the evening and experience a walking tour of Grayson Perry’s tapestries in the extremely popular exhibition The Vanity of Small Differences with RHA Director Patrick T. Murphy, or kick back and relax in front of Perry’s BBC documentary All in the Best Possible Taste. In the RHA Atrium, underneath Alex Pentek’s large hanging paper sculpture, create your own personal and customized badges with themes from the tapestries, or have your caricature drawn Manga-Style by artist, Shota Kotake.

Learn about Hennessy’s Savoir-Faire at a tasting masterclass with the Hennessy Brand Ambassador, featuring Very Special, V.S.O.P and X.O. Throughout the night Hennessy’s expert mixologists will also create bespoke Hennessy cocktails, including Hennessy & Ginger and Hennessy Sidecar. Hennessy was the first spirit to identify ginger as the perfect accompaniment, with the spice of ginger ale bringing out the natural spice of the world’s finest cognac.

This promises to be another night of entertainment and fun all under the roof of the RHA Gallery!
