About this Event

RIAM INTERNATIONAL VISITING ARTISTS SERIES

SOROLLA: Spanish Master of Light

In the closing weeks of the National Gallery of Ireland’s exhibition “Sorolla: Spanish Master of Light”, the Royal Irish Academy of Music is proud to present a special musical project, led by the distinguished RIAM International Visiting Artist, Ann Murray, and curated by Kathleen Tynan, Head of Vocal Studies and Opera, which takes inspiration from the colourful works of one of the most celebrated artists in his native Spain, Joaquín Sorolla.

This special lunchtime concerts featuring singers, pianists and other musicians from the Academy draws wonderful parallels between the musical notes on the page and Sorolla canvasses hanging on the hallowed walls of this exceptional national museum.
