Why train your shoulders?
Shoulders are the second most injured body part in climbing, according to research. To maximise your participation and to help boost your performance you definitely need to look after your shoulders!
This workshop is a practical introduction to off the wall supplemental training and conditioning of your shoulders for cimbing. Taking you through a wide spectrum of interventions, everything from injury prevention to general conditioning to performance training.
Workshop Goals
Learn to effectively train your shoulders to best prepare them for the demands climbing places on them.
Understand why 3 sets of 10 press ups at the end of your climbing session is NOT making you stronger...and learn how and when to train your shoulders.
Learn how to correctly perform shoulder exercises and understand which exercises to use at different times during your climbing training, general conditioning phase, strength development, power training etc.
