We continue the ROW Academy series of workshops with Finance Essentials; a two hour workshop discussing the basic requirements in relation to record keeping for your business.

Whether you are planning to start a business or if you already run a small business, you need to be aware of the basic requirements in relation to record keeping. Not only do you need to be able to understand how your business is performing but you also need to be able to compile the information required to comply with the various tax regulations. Your bank will also expect you to keep your financial information up to date.

This Workshop will provide an overview of all aspects of maintaining proper books of account for a start-up or small business and will also touch on cash flow management, tax registration and compliance.

Hosted by DC Cahalane, CEO Republic Of Work, together with Fearghal Collins (Partner) and James Kiely (Director Of Tax) of Buckley Kiely & Co, This workshop will give you a good understanding of the basic accounting requirements of any small business.

The ROW Academy series is open to Republic Of Work members and non-members, entrepreneurs, start-up companies and the wider community. The Essential sessions are a broad overview of each topic while the masterclasses take an in-depth look at each specific area for those already equipped with the basic knowledge.

James also provides specialist, tailored advice on inheritance and succession planning and business exits. He is an AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and has lectured for the Irish Taxation Institute and all of the major accountancy bodies.


DC Cahalane

DC is currently CEO of Republic Of Work and is responsible for helping over 65 startups across the globe scale, gain funding as well as awareness.
